Angle steel is the most basic rolled steel, also known as angle iron or angle steel, angle steel is a finished product made of semi-finished carbon steel by hot forming, which is bent from one corner of a piece of steel. The angle steel is "L" type; the most common steel angle is a 90 degree angle. The legs of the "L" can be equal or unequal in length.

Since angle steel is primarily used to provide structural support, the ideal composition is a low-alloy, high-strength steel with good ductility and toughness.
